My drinking glasses have a film on them, how do I make them clear again?

I do use jet dry in the dish washer. My drinking glasses have a film on them, how do I make them clear again?
I washed my glasses in my dish washer and they came out with film on them. My mother, which is very smart, told me to try washing them by hand with the Dawn with Bleach and add about 2 tablespoons of vinegar. Let them soak for about 5 minutes and then wash them and rinse them well. The ech will come of. It worked great. My drinking glasses have a film on them, how do I make them clear again?
washing in vinegar will take off any water stains, also using jet dry will help prevent then.
Try using liquid dishwasher soap. It doesn't need the dissolving time of a powder and is less abrasive on glasses. Keep using the jey dry too.
use lime water
I have heard that washing in vinegar helps, but I have never tried it.
wash them
use Dawn
Use a water softener; you may have hard water.
Have you ever heard of ';washing your best glasses, china, steam-wear and crystal by hand?'; Well, that is how you can solve that awful film that is left on your glasses after they have been washed in the dishwasher. We too often rely on the easy way out. Adding vinegar, bleach, jet-dry etc., to your dishwasher does not completely dry your items. A dishwasher is actually a way to rinse clean your items and was not built to dry each dish separately. Honestly, go out and purchase to identical glasses. For one week, wash one glass by hand and the other glass let your dishwasher do the work for you. I guarantee that you will see a difference.
Bleach
Your glasses are etched, time to buy new ones, and never wash the clear plastic glasses in the dishwasher, they will etch even faster.
Use jet dry!! I soak mine in warm water and bleach. Then I rinse them and wash them with warm soapy water! It does the trick and it disinfects your dishes and glasses well!
I used to work in a bar and we used hot water with vinegar in it on all our glasses. It worked really well and was great for dusting to display glasses too.
Washing them over a long period of time, in a dish washer , causes a type of etching. Sorry, it doesn't come off because it is actually a kind of sanding of the shiney surface.
Make sure your water sprayers are clean and not filled with build up. If its not getting the proper amount of water that could leave a film.
maybe your dishwasher needs to be washed out. Soap build up
Soak them in white vinegar, then re-cycle through the dishwasher, again.
water softener leaves a salt film.

you can use potassium in your softener....not sure if it helps.

vinegar/water will get the film off
Try using a different dish washing soap. or give them a good wash with dawn and hot water and see the difference.
