This is mainly for driving. I need correction for distance and for reading. I have difficulty turning my head, so when I look over my shoulder before changing lanes my vision is interrupted by the hinge on regular glasses, and/or by the distorted area in progressive lenses. Can wrap-around eyeglasses be made as blended bifocals? And in clear glass?
Prescription lenses usually can't be made with much of a wrap around effect. It creates even more distortion to begin with....and with blended bifocals of any type, it would be even worse.
Perhaps you can find a frame where the hinge and temple is higher than your eye so you don't see it when you look sideways.
