Otherwise ';Lime Away'; works very well and is a lot cheaper than CLR.
You can also get a spray you use every time you use the shower to keep it from forming.
You could also get a filter for the shower head to prevent the deposits from getting there in the first place.
And I agree that Muriatic Acid is way too strong. It will damage any metal it touches and could hurt YOU.What is best way to get hard water spots off of clear glass shower doors? Would diluted muriatitic acid be ok?
That is still to strong for indoors. Try a mixture of OxyClean and water, or Lime Away. The best thing I have ever used is a Shark steam cleaner. There is a portable model and a canister model. It just uses distilled water and no chemicals. It literally steams the hard water spots in seconds. The cleaner can also be used for grout, mildew, floor cleaning, grill cleaning, and too many other uses to to list. There is no scrubbing involved. If you can afford one it is worth the investment. You can find them at Kohl, Home Depot, or Lowes. I can clean my house, floors, 2 bathroom, kitchen, and steam the curtains all in about 2 hours. What is best way to get hard water spots off of clear glass shower doors? Sounds like overkill.
Soft Scrub Orange will do the trick, so will Scrubbing Bubbles.
This will sound weird to you but we did this in the Army before our inspections. And it worked great. Just spray on lemon furniture polish and wipe off, it is really easy and it will clean it right up. I know it's weird but it works very good. we past the white glove test every time.
You can also try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser (or other brand). It's a miracle worker and no fumes in the house!
