How do you get that cloudy film off of clear drinking glasses?

I';VE TRIED EVERYTHING ... some I can't even see through anymore..... HELPHow do you get that cloudy film off of clear drinking glasses?
Are these drinking glasses glass or plastic? If its plastic, then there may be no fix (over time the hot water used in dishwashers could break down the plastic, giving the illusion of a film when its just been etched.)





You could try rinsing them in a dishpan of 1/2 white vinegar and 1/2 water. The acid in the vinegar is just enough to remove any residue on the glasses.How do you get that cloudy film off of clear drinking glasses?
Sounds like you have used a dishwasher with water that is not hot enough. You can try to wash them again with hotter water (may take several washings). My hot water heater is at 160 degrees. They may be permanently etched, and there is nothing more you can do. But try hotter water before you replace them.
I have used denture tablets,but that depends on what caused the film.


Put the tablet in the glass with water and it should clean the inside.
Soaking them in white vinegar then washing as usual should take it off. If you're using a dishwasher try Cascade Complete dishwasher detergent. It works great.
I heard that using white toothpaste and an old toothbrush works.
Do you own a dishwasher?
